Hello world!

Welcome to the Informatics Energy blog. As might be guessed from the title, this blog is about energy use in the School of Informatics and finding ways of reducing it. It’s managed by David Sterratt, who’s the Energy Coordinator for the Informatics Forum.

Currently a group of staff from the School, the University Energy Office and   Transition Edinburgh University is working on displaying energy use in the Forum on the touch screens – there will be more about this soon.

In the meantime, please post a comment if you’ve any questions or suggestions about energy use in the Forum or how we can reduce it. I’m aware that  a number of people in Informatics have expertise in energy issues; if you’ve got something that you think would be worth posting, please let me know.
